Topic: Labour Borne Out Of Love [12/6/2016]
Text: 1 Timothy 5:18

It is natural for an employee who has worked, to be paid an agreed amount stipulated in his or her employment or contractual agreement (for contract staff). When the worker is not paid his or her incentives after labour, maybe for a certain period of time, his or her motivation and enthusiasm dims and this can only lead to low productivity from the employee, which will affect the company’s own products. The first motivating factor for every worker is his or her workers-reward

God is a good business man Who wants to make profit and He understands the first factor of motivation for His workers. But God is not man. He has set His own first factor of motivation, and that is love; a devoted loyalty to Him. It is labour borne out of love that He will reward. Hebrews 6:10 says: “for God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name…”

All of God’s works are products of love. His most important work, salvation, was borne out of love. A steward cannot and will not receive any reward if he doesn’t labour with love. God has set the standard and He will not lower it. Let love motivate you to be productive for God, not what you will get from God. The reward will always come, but don’t put the cart before the horse. Let only love motivate you to be productive for God, because He is not unrighteous to forget your work and your labour of love for His name.

Keep winning daily.

Prayer:
Dear loving Father, I thank You for I know that Your labourer, who I am, is worthy of His wage. I am motivated primarily by my love for you. Love propels me to give my best as I carry out my labour for our Kingdom, in Jesus name.
