Topic: Faith Is Now [16/9/2016]

Text: Hebrews 11:1

Most times, what we call ‘faith’ is actually not faith. When we say “I have faith that God will heal me”, we are not expressing faith, but hope. Hope is good. But it’s not good enough to receive what is already done. You cannot expect God to do what He has already done. Faith is not in the future, but in the present.

Hebrews 11:1 says: “Now, faith is…”, it does not say faith will be, but ‘faith is’ the substance of what you are hoping for. A substance is what you can see and even feel. It is palpable. Faith brings hope – future – to the present. It is the present experience of what we hope for. Even things not seen become seen because of faith. Hallelujah! Faith gives you the evidence of things not seen, making it visible and tangible.

The Amplified Version of the Bible puts Hebrew 11:1 this way: “Now, faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].”

Scriptures say in Hebrews 4:3 – “For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.” God has already done all He wants to do for us. So faith brings what has been done (the concluded) to the present (the needed). Faith presents the title deed of your healings, miracles, breakthroughs, prosperity, successes, etc, to you.

Instead of saying “I am trusting God for healing”, say “I have the divine health of God in me”. Instead of saying, “I have faith that God is going to grant me success”, say, “I am God’s success story”. Faith is in the present tense. It’s a principle for the present. It functions now, it’s not for the future. God said in Genesis 1:3 “let there be light: and there was light.” When he said it, it happened in the present. Not in the future. Understand this principle and put it to practice always.

Keep winning daily.
