So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the LORD his God. 2 Chronicles 27:6. Read: 2 Chro 27:1-6
Someone said, “Preparation is the platform manifestation strives strongly”. Preparation paves way for breaking new grounds. It helps you to be ready to seize opportunities as they appear, it also gives you an edge against the indolent ones. Plans do not come to fulfillment themselves, there’re forces that bring about the fulfillment. The Bible says in Proverbs 19:21, “There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand”. And Jesus said in John 15:5, “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing”. This therefore means that, no matter your new year resolutions, they can still fail if pursued with flesh. 2 Sam 2:9.
In this year of all-round rest, wisdom is needed to have all our plans executed. You want to become great this year? Then you must know only God can make one great. Jotham King of Judah became mighty because he prepared his ways and brought them to God for approval. He didn’t just plan and jump into action, no, but asked God for His go ahead. Stop rationalizing but present it to God for His divine seal of approval and see how easy life would become for you this year.
