Merriam Webster dictionary defines hierarchy as a system in which people or things are placed in a series of levels with different importance or status. In all organisations, Channel of communication has been established, the modality has to be strictly followed. Departments are established, employees and employers have their different roles to play for the achievement of the organisational objectives. Though their roles are different, yet, they’re all important.
Even in the Church, God has set her modality in place. Bible says, when Jesus ascended into heaven, He gave gifts to men. We’re different branches connected to one vine – Jesus pursuing one objective of soul winning. Whatever position you occupy in the Church, we all are important and unique, no need to fight over position. The above mentioned offices in the Church are to care for the spiritual state of their congregation. Congregation, workers and ministers are to work with the pastor to ensure that, the aim and objective is realised. Aaron and Hur supported Moses by holding up his hands to ensure victory over the Amalekites. Hierarchical, yet, working as a team to achieve much more for God’s Kingdom.
Pray for and support your Spiritual head to succeed. Pray for them always.
