A Promise For You From Bible Promises: [21/07/2016]

Topic: From Lesser To Greater Life

I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me. Psalms 119:19. Read: John 10:9-13

When someone pays you a visit, he/she doesn’t stay forever, but stays awhile and depart to his/her destination because he/she is a visitor. Visitors don’t turn the place they visit to a permanent domain simply because the place is nice and comfortable, no, but leave as soon as their time of visit expires. David understood this, lest he cried to God to guide him with His commandments as a visitor on this earth. The implication of this is that, without God’s commandments, no one can successfully live in this strange land. This is why David said in Psalms  119:105 “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path”. The earth is a dark world, only the light of God’s Word can help us to navigate through.

On this earth, we live a lesser life, a limited kind of life, but when we shall die, we’ll live a limitless life which is a greater life. On earth, we live a life of pain, sickness, struggle, poverty and violence, but the greater life will be free from the aforementioned because this earth shall be replaced with new earth filled with peace of God. Rev 21:1-3. But moving from lesser life (on earth) to a greater life with God in heaven is by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, and moving from a lesser life (on earth)to a greater life in hell with Lucifer is also by rejecting Jesus’ offer of Salvation. Remember that you’re a visitor on earth and when death comes, you would have to depart this lesser life to greater life either in heaven or hell.

* The end of a lesser life gives birth to a new beginning of a greater life in the realm of the Spirit
