An avowed enemy is one that has made up his/her mind to make an end of you or your destiny. Some avowed enemies usually don’t repent, they try to fulfil their evil desires upon a man. Avowed enemies don’t care whether you offended them or not, sometimes they’re angry because you’re alive. They could be angry because of your glorious destiny, so they want to waste it before you ever realise it. They get disturbed by your success in life. Avowed enemies are filled with covetousness, greed, envy and jealousy. They resent you without cause. Sometimes, they’re your close friends who laugh and play with you with ulterior motive in their heart.
But God knows how to deliver His children from the hands of avowed enemies. He delivered David from Saul who sought his life desperately to destroy it. More than forty men bound themselves together never to eat until they have killed Paul simply because Paul’s Salvation message was disturbing them. But God delivered him through his sister’s son who over heard the evil plot against his uncle. He can and will deliver you from all evil in Jesus name.
