Giving our best in anything that we are involved in is very paramount for us, if we want to be successful. Success in life is achievable, but putting our best foot forward at all times is key to its attainment. A soccer coach will always play his available best eleven players at all times if he hopes to win soccer matches. He will never be complacent nor disrespectful to his opponents, especially when it is a championship match, to play a weakened eleven. He will always play with his best available team.
The key to success is to be passionate enough not to give less than your best. When the Lord wanted to execute the task of saving the world, He gave His only begotten Son – His best. And Ephesians 5:1 says that we should imitate the Lord as His dear children. God was not complacent. He knew what He wanted to achieve, that was why He gave His best. And the results is the billions of people who have received His life.
Always give your best. It is a sign of humility and seriousness. You will find fulfillment whenever you know you have given your best to a course. Never allow pride to make you complacent and lackadaisical. Approach every venture with all your heart, soul strength and mind (Luke 10:27). Don’t give a part of you to a course, give the whole of you. Put your best foot forward always.

Dear Lord, thank You for giving Your best to save me. Work in me to produce my best in all I do. Help me not to be proud and complacent, but to be humble and serious, giving the whole of my heart, soul, strength and mind to achieve the desired success I crave, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
