A Promise For You From Bible Promises:

Topic: Drawing Strength on the Word [17/08/2016]

Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope. This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me. Psalms 119:49-50. Read: Ps 1:1-3

After David was anointed to be a king, the battle for his destiny began. He began to run from one cave to another, Adullam to another. He needed to fight for the actualization of his destiny. He was already anointed as a potential king, to make it a reality, he must have to fight for it. In the middle of those troubled times in his life, he remembered God’s Promise for his life and needed to survive. How could he survive? By depending on the Word of He that called and anointed him a king.

There’s strength in God’s Word to keep you going in the days of affliction. Fighting without adequate Word of God inside of you will lead to fruitless effort. The Word is what empowers you to win in the battles of life. Whatsoever God has promised you, note that the devil will fight you tooth and nail with frustrations, afflictions, fear, troubles left, right and centre just to create doubt in your heart. You must draw on the Word of God to help you overcome your troubled times. In your promised land, there are giants to prevent your entry to possess your possession, you must fight the good fight of faith. David faced his troubled times drawing on God’s Word and he overcame. You can overcome drawing on God’s Word too.
