A Promise For You From Bible Promises:
Topic: Enduring Persecution in The Lord’s Service
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 2 Timothy 3:12
Korean Christians have a saying that emerged from the persecution they endured because of their faith in Christ: ‘We’re just like nails. The harder you hit us, the deeper you drive us; and the deeper you drive us, the more peaceful it becomes!’. Part of God’s purpose in allowing the storms of life to blow, is to drive us deeper – deeper into dependence on Him, and deeper into relationship with Him. This is why the Bible says ‘We should patiently run the Salvation race set before us, and to finish well and strong, we must look up to Jesus (as an example) who has successfully ran the race to the end. Heb. 12:1-2. Persecution in this context could be, denial of privileges, sorrow, poverty, trials of faith, apparent barrenness, insults, no spouse, no job and so on. Whatever persecution now, know that it’s to discourage you from the godly lifestyle you’ve chosen, look up to Jesus, it would soon be over. The Word of God call it, ‘Light affliction, which is but for a moment’ 2 Cor. 4:17.
Like the Korean Christians, instead of allowing persecution to deter you from following Jesus, let it drive you deeper in Him and the more it does, the more peaceful you will become. Paul said in 2 Timothy 3:11, Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
* God Almighty will deliver you from all persecutions in Jesus Might Name. #EnjoyYourWeekendWithJesus
