  1. “and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before,
  2. “whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.
  3. “For Moses truly said to the fathers, ‘The LORD your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you.
  4. ‘And it shall be [that] every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.’
  5. “Yes, and all the prophets, from Samuel and those who follow, as many as have spoken, have also foretold these days.
  6. “You are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘And in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’
  7. “To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one [of you] from your iniquities.”

THE MESSAGE:

In our text, God promised to send Jesus Christ again to the world for restoration of all things. Moses had earlier prophesied that Israel should listen to Christ or be destroyed. Prophet Samuel and others after him spoke of the days of the restoration. Since God had made a covenant with Abraham where He promised that all the families of the earth would be blessed in the Seed of Abraham, He sent the risen Jesus to Israel to bless them as they turned away from their sins.

The Second Coming of Jesus Christ is something that must occur in the future (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). It is going to be a time of giving account for every man before God (Hebrews 4:13). There is need for every person therefore to prepare an account to give. How have you been living your life? Are you living for Christ and with eternity in view, or are you living for your selfish purposes? You can turn away from your sins today and embrace Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour. May God bless you as you take that step today!

PRAYER
My Father, I thank You for the ministry of Jesus Christ. Help me as I come to You now.
