TOPIC – Altar To Angels Or Demons? (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Devotional 19 June 2025)

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Genesis 28:11-18 (KJV)
11 And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.
12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.
13 And, behold, the Lord stood above it, and said, I am the Lord God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;
14 And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
15 And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.
16 And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the Lord is in this place; and I knew it not.
17 And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.
18 And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it.

MFM Devotional For Today 2025 MESSAGE:
Altars are places of worship. It can be for good or evil. Altars can attract angels and demons. Have you built an altar? (Genesis 12:7-8).
An altar is basically a spiritual gateway that permits spiritual traffic. For example, the altar built by Abraham many years earlier became a spiritual gate that permitted spiritual traffic to and from heaven. Immediately Jacob arrived there, he knew he had reached the gate of heaven. Little wonder he said, “Surely, the Lord is in this place. This is none other but the house of God and this is the gate of heaven” (Genesis 28:16-17). He said this because there was a traffic of angels ascending and descending. This angelic activity was because Abraham had built an altar there when God appeared to him. If the altar built by Abraham had been dedicated to the devil, Jacob would have seen it as a gateway for the traffic of demons. His is a clear symbolic representation of a godly altar.

Therefore, altars and shrines, which are very common in our environment, are gates that can be used by demons or angels, depending on the purposes for which they were initially erected. If an evil altar has been erected against you as a person, it means that a demonic traffic controller has been put in place against you. Demons would keep going up and down because of you. Such a gate of evil will continually release evil angels and demons into the person’s life or environment.
When there is a shrine in your family house, it opens the gate to evil spirits, who will keep coming in and going out. Jacob built an altar to the Lord. Which altar have you built? It is also important to note that the kind of altar you build today will affect the lives and destinies of your offspring, born and unborn. Endeavour to lay a good foundation for them by erecting altars for the Lord and attracting His angels to your life and theirs. Build altars of effectual fervent prayer, altars of worship, intercession, altars of genuine sacrifice, and dedicated kingdom service. More importantly, make yourself a living sacrifice that is holy and acceptable to God. This is a sure gateway to generational blessing, and God is pleased with you and all yours.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
- Every evil altar erected against me, be destroyed by fire, in the name of Jesus.
- I silence the voice of evil altars speaking against me by the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
- I put an end to demonic traffic in my life by the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
- Let every gate opened to the enemy by my foundation be closed forever with the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
- I nullify the evil consequences of wicked altars erected by my ancestors upon my life, in the name of Jesus.
- O Lord, let my life experience traffic of angelic activities, in the name of Jesus.
- Lord Jesus, make my heart Your altar, in the name of Jesus.
