TOPIC – No More Trouble!
READ: Revelation 20:7-10 (NKJV)
- Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison
- and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number [is] as the sand of the sea.
- They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them.
- The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet [are.] And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
THE MESSAGE:
Today’s reading gives us assurance that one day, Satan’s threats will cease forever, and peace will reign. After one thousand years of imprisonment, Satan will be released, and will gather countless rebels, sinners and leaders of this world (a great army) for battle against God’s people and the city of Jerusalem. However, fire will come down from God out of heaven and consume the attacking army. There is no doubt that this event will come to pass. Christians are assured that God’s word must come to fulfillment.
No matter the number of these rebels, the fire of God will consume them all at once! Christians do not need to worry on how this will happen; they should only know that this will certainly come to pass. The superiority of God cannot be questioned. Verse 10 gives us much relief- the devil will be thrown into a burning lake of fire to join the beast and false prophets; and they will be tormented days and nights forever. Satan’s power and wickedness are not forever. He will meet his doom when he will be thrown into the lake of fire, and will never be a threat to anyone again – Hallelujah!
PRAYER: Dear Lord, help me to firmly believe in You, and be totally committed to You forever, Amen!
