TOPIC: Embrace Spiritual Discipline (TREM Devotional 25 December 2025)
“Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.” — 1 Corinthians 9:24-25 (KJV)
MESSAGE
Beloved, many believers are not properly stewarding their salvation to receive its full benefits. The spiritual disciplines God has provided—prayer, worship, praise, fasting, and meditating on His Word—are not optional if you desire to see His power manifest in your life. You cannot expect great exploits without embracing the necessary discipline. It is like someone who desires to be physically fit but refuses to exercise or follow a proper diet; success requires intentional effort.
Discipline is key. God’s love for us is unwavering and proven; it is a settled matter in the Scriptures. Salvation has already been secured, but walking in its fullness requires consistent spiritual effort. You must “plow” what is within you, preparing your heart to navigate challenges and stand firm, even in the face of opposition.
As Proverbs 16:7 reminds us,
“When a man’s ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.”
Today, make the choice to embrace spiritual discipline. Dedicate yourself to prayer, worship, and godly living. Guard and cultivate your spiritual life, and you will run the race to obtain the incorruptible prize.
