THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: God considers the soul of man to be of higher value than the combined estate value of the entire earth.
Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2026 MESSAGE
Our anchor Scripture reveals a profound truth about the Nature of God: He is a Father who has a deep passion for the souls of men.
As God’s children, we can demonstrate our love and connection with Him by possessing and expressing the same passion for souls. In any family, the father is often more interested in the child who shares his interests and passions. Likewise, our Heavenly Father is drawn to those who share His passion for saving souls.
Now, why is God so passionate about the souls of men? Understanding this will lay a solid foundation for our soul-winning endeavour.
Here are three reasons why God is passionate about the souls of men:
- God desires to fill the earth with people after His Image and Likeness (Genesis 1:27). He wants His Image-bearers to populate the earth, not those bearing the devil’s likeness. God made man in His own Image and Likeness, and He wants to populate the earth with people who are in His Image and Likeness. That was why the devil moved to cause man to lose that Image through the sin of disobedience.
The more people on earth reflect God’s Image, the better the earth will function. The earth functions better with righteous people. Iniquity, on the other hand, causes the earth to malfunction.
- God intends to fill the face of the earth with godly fruit, godly character, and godly behaviour. Isaiah 27:6 says, He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit.
‘Israel’ in that passage refers to God’s people, and the earth is like farmland. So, God wants His farmland to be filled with good fruit, not thorns. He wants everywhere on earth – homes, neighbourhoods, offices, schools, marketplaces, etc., to be filled with godly fruit. - God’s passion for souls is rooted in the immense value He places on human life.
Beloved, God considers the soul of man to be of higher value than the combined estate value of the entire earth. Think of it: all the houses, gold, lithium, platinum, and precious metals on earth – their total value is insignificant in the eyes of God when compared to the value of a single human soul. Matthew 16:26 says, For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
In other words, gaining the entire world is worthless if you lose your soul in the process. And what can a person give in exchange for their soul?
REMEMBER THIS: God considers the soul of man to be of higher value than the combined estate value of the entire earth.
ASSIGNMENT(S)
- Soul winning starts from you; endeavour to live a life that will point people to God.
- Be interested in what interests God; be passionate for souls.
- Endeavour to win at least one soul per week, if not per day.
PRAYER: Father, let me want what You want. I receive the grace to be an effective instrument of soul winning in Your Hands, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
