BIBLE READING: Philippians 4:7-8

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

MESSAGE:

Some people wonder why negative things keep happening to them without evaluating the state of their hearts. Do you know that your thoughts shape your identity and influence how you live? As a child of God, you must consciously choose to think on things that are pure, noble, and praiseworthy. This will help deepen your faith, strengthen your relationship with God, and empower you to face any challenges with confidence.

The Bible makes it clear that a person will become what he or she consistently dwells on. This can be attributed to a principle known as the law of attraction, which suggests that our dominant thoughts eventually become our reality. In the same way, when you constantly think about God’s word and good things, your life will be transformed.

My dear child, be intentional about what you allow into your mind; avoid dwelling on worldly fears, bad news, or destructive content from social media. Instead, focus on thoughts that build you up spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. To live a good life, you must reject negative thinking.

PRAYER POINT:
The state of your heart and mind determines the direction of your life.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
MATTHEW 24:23-51, LEVITICUS 1-3

HYMN 11: BLESSED ASSURANCE

1 Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
O, what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.

Refrain:
This is my story, this is my song,
praising my Savior all the day long;
this is my story, this is my song,
praising my Savior all the day long.

2 Perfect submission, perfect delight,
visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
angels descending, bring from above
echoes of mercy, whispers of love. [Refrain]

3 Perfect submission, all is at rest,
I in my Savior am happy and blest;
watching and waiting, looking above,
filled with His goodness, lost in His love. [Refrain]
