BIBLE READING: Ezekiel 9:1-4
1 He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand.
2 And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer’s inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar.
3 And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer’s inkhorn by his side;
4 And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.
MESSAGE:
A person can be described as an agent of change when he or she expresses deep concerns about a bad situation and proffers solutions to it. The state of our world today is truly distressing. Sin has become normalised, and sadly, it is creeping into the church. Social media has exposed many young people to various immoralities and ungodly practices. This is something that Christians, regardless of their age, must change.
My dear child, you are not too young to stand for righteousness. Never conform to whatever sinful trends may be around you. Instead, always take a bold stance for Christ. As you separate yourself from ungodly acts, seek ways to make a difference, such as sharing the gospel with unsaved people around you. Evangelise to your classmates and other people in your community. The same social media that promotes sin can be used to spread the message of Jesus. Therefore, always use your social media platform to shine the light of Christ, not to post sinful content.
Do not remain indifferent or passive in the face of moral decay in your community. You are the change that the world needs; therefore, let your voice be heard for righteousness.
PRAYER POINT:
Father, please help me to be an instrument of change in my generation.
