TOPIC: Sustain The Fire (Open Heaven for Teens, 31 March 2026)

MEMORISE: Not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; – Romans 12:11

BIBLE READING: LEVITICUS 6:13

13 The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.

MESSAGE:

Imagine lighting a campfire and leaving it unattended; it would eventually burn out. That’s how revival works in your heart also; it requires care and attention to keep burning. In today’s Bible reading, God commanded the priests to keep the fire on the altar burning continuously. That fire symbolised their worship and devotion to Him. In the same vein, a Christian must keep the fire of revival alive in his or her heart.

There are several ways Christians can keep the fire of God burning in their hearts continually, and I will briefly discuss some of them. As a Christian, you can keep the fire of revival burning when you:

1 Pray Daily: Prayer connects you to God, the source of revival. Always talk to Him about your fears, hopes, and dreams.

2 Study God’s Word: The Bible is your spiritual fuel. Spend time reading and reflecting on it every day.

3 Stay Around Other Believers: Surround yourself with godly friends who will encourage and strengthen your faith.

4 Avoid Sin: Sin acts like water on fire; it quenches the Spirit. Stay away from anything that will dim your passion for God (1 Thessalonians 5:19).

5 Are Spirit-led: Listen to the Holy Spirit and follow His guidance daily.
I pray that the fire of revival will burn in you, and God will grant you the grace to keep it burning, in Jesus’ name,

PRAYER POINT:
Father, please grant me the grace to keep the fire of revival burning in my heart continually.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Luke 7:31-50, Judges 3-5

HYMN 16: Oh, Spread The Tidings Round, Wherever Man Is Found

1 O spread the tidings ’round wherever man is found,
wherever human hearts and human woes abound;
let ev’ry Christian tongue proclaim the joyful sound:
The Comforter has come!

Refrain:
The Comforter has come! The Comforter has come!
The Holy Ghost from heav’n, the Father’s promise giv’n!
O spread the tidings ’round, wherever man is found:
The Comforter has come!

2 The long, long night is past, the morning breaks at last;
and hushed the dreadful wail and fury of the blast,
as o’er the golden hills the day advances fast!
The Comforter has come! [Refrain]

3 Lo, the great King of kings, with healing in His wings,
to ev’ry captive soul a full deliv’rance brings;
and through the vacant cells the song of triumph rings:
The Comforter has come! [Refrain]

4 O boundless love divine! How shall this tongue of mine
To wond’ring mortals tell the matchless grace divine—
That I, a child of hell, should in His image shine!
The Comforter has come! [Refrain]

Daily Devotional for Teen’s guide was written by Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, one of the largest evangelical church in the world and also the President of Christ the Redeemer’s Ministries.
