SCRIPTURE: And Elijah said unto all the people, Come near unto me. And all the people came near unto him. And he repaired the altar of the Lord that was broken down. 1 Kings 18:30.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: If the altar is in order, the fire must fall.
Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2026 MESSAGE
Spiritual fire is an essential factor that determines the spiritual well-being of every child of God. It is what eliminates the vulnerability of the child of God to enemy wickedness. To be fireless, therefore, is to be vulnerable.
Spiritual fire is also what makes us to be on the move for God in kingdom service. It makes us to be active for the kingdom. So, it is critical, therefore, to maintain spiritual fire, especially in the world that we live in.
Today, we shall be looking at one of the ways to maintain spiritual fire – The altar of prayer.

The altar of prayer is the altar of revival. In 1 Kings 18:30 & 38, the fire fell once the altar was repaired and put in order. So, when Elijah called, the fire fell because the altar of prayer was in order. If the altar is in order, the fire must fall.
Please take note of this:
The easiest way to maintain Spiritual Fire in your life is to possess a functional prayer altar.
Today, there are many people who struggle with Bible study, fasting, evangelism, etc. The reason for this is that the prayer altar is broken, making it impossible for the fire to fall.
Acts 1:14 says, ” These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
Furthermore, Acts 2:1-3 says, “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly, there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
The fire fell because they were in prayer. Prayer, especially prayer in the spirit, fans the Flames of Holy Ghost Fire.
2 Timothy 1:6 says, Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
Personal revival answers to a functional prayer altar.
Beloved, do you want to set your generation on fire like Evan Roberts, who prayed for revival in Wales for 13 years, and it came? What about William J. Seymour, who prayed for five and a half hours for 7 years, and the revival came? If you want sustained Spiritual Fire, keep your prayer altar burning.
You will notice so far that I have not mentioned asking for food or clothes. I have not mentioned asking for a husband or a wife.
Beloved, the most important purpose of prayer is first to service your relationship with God and then to cleanse you and make you wholesome, thereby setting your life on fire.
REMEMBER THIS: If the altar is in order, the fire must fall.
