TOPIC – Our Deliverance Is Certain In Jesus Christ

READ: Galatians 1:1-5 (KJV)

1 Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)

2 And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia:

3 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,

4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:

5 To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

THE MESSAGE:

The Epistle to the Galatians was written by the Apostle Paul at around AD 49. In the opening verses which we read today, Paul pointed out that our deliverance was brought about by the death of Jesus Christ (v.4). In other words, Jesus Christ surrendered Himself to the death upon the cross for the single purpose of saving mankind from sins (Matt. 1:21; Phil. 2:8), and as well, deliver anyone who comes to Him from the evil of the present age. Without any controversy, Jesus is the one that can save from eternal destruction (John 3:16). There is no other name by which anyone might be saved, apart from Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12).

Beloved, there is no need to worry or panic each time the enemy comes like a flood (Isa. 59:19). Jesus Christ has purchased salvation for us and has delivered us from all satanic forces (Col. 1:13 & 14). He is the head of all principalities and power (Col. 2:10). Note that the greatest deliverance every person must experience is the deliverance from sin. A forgiven sinner can rise to challenge the enemy of his soul and demand for his deliverance from any power and organised programme of the enemy (Colossians 2:13-15). As a Christian, you are to raise your shoulders high against the devil because your sins are forgiven and your total deliverance is secured by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

PRAYER:
Dear Lord, grant me understanding to walk in the victory you have secured for me, all the days of my life. Amen.
