TOPIC: The Blessing Covenant (Seeds Of Destiny 12 June 2026)
SCRIPTURE: But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. – Deuteronomy 8:18.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: God is a covenant-keeping God, and the covenant is universal in applicability.
Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2026 MESSAGE
Our anchor scripture makes it clear that God is a covenant keeper. He is committed to keeping His Covenant.
I remember the story of a young man during the construction of the Glory Dome in 2017. He just came out of school as a fresh university graduate. He had saved some money amounting to about Fifty Thousand Naira, which he kept in his suit pocket.

When I mentioned in one of our services how I gave towards the project by emptying two of my accounts, he said he heard it and decided to take a similar action. He told his fiancée then, who is now his wife, to go to his place, check his suit pocket and take the Fifty Thousand Naira, and sow it as a seed toward the building project. He told her not to take even transport fare from it. So, she took the money and did as she was instructed.
That was when things began to change for the young man. He said suddenly, someone called him and asked, “Can you do a job?” He said, “Yes.” They gave him a job of 100 million Naira, but he didn’t have a registered company with which to execute the job. So, he asked one of his friends, “Do you have a company?” He said, “Yes, but if I give you the company, we will share the profit. He said, “No problem.” His profit from that job was 20 million Naira.
From there, he took off. As of the last time we spoke, he was already doing jobs in billions of Naira. All happened by honouring God.
In the covenant of Blessing, there are people who go to God and say, “God, bless me,” and God says, “What did you do to make Me bless you? Have you fulfilled the details of the covenant? Have you fulfilled your portion?”
Now, ask yourself the question, “What do I need to do to expect the blessing of God?”
- Maintain upright living.
Uprightness is a major gateway to the Blessing of God. No wonder Psalm 24:3-5 says, who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD and righteousness from the God of his salvation. - Being a giving covenant practitioner (2 Corinthians 9:6-7).
That is, you are a giver. A giver to the cause of the kingdom, a giver to people. - Being a blessing.
Being a blessing to your world, a blessing to your generation, is a major condition for the Blessing Covenant. Being a blessing makes you blessed because whatever a man sows, that is what he reaps. (Genesis 12:2-3). When you are a blessing to your world, a blessing to your generation, you can never escape being blessed by God. - Commitment to diligent labour.
Proverbs 22:29 says, Seest thou a man that is diligent in his business, he shall stand before kings. He shall not stand before mean men.
Show me a man who is energetic and forceful, a man who is stranger to laziness, whose hands are not weak, whose hands are not empty; and I will show you a man who will stand with kings.
Beloved, you cannot be lazy and be blessed. You cannot be slothful and be blessed. You cannot be slack and not lack. The covenant of God is both reliable and unbreakable, and habit determines habitat. Your schedule affects your success. If the Blessing of God is your desire, you must fulfil the required terms of the covenant, as stated above.
REMEMBER THIS: God is a covenant-keeping God, and the covenant is universal in applicability.
