TOPIC – Stress Detox (Open Heaven for Teens, 22 June 2026)
MEMORISE: Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. – Isaiah 26:3
BIBLE READING: Philippians 4:6-7
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
MESSAGE:
I once listened to a song that says:
I’ve still got joy in chaos; I’ve got peace that makes no sense And I won’t be going under; I’m not held by my own strength ‘Cause I’ve built my life on Jesus; He’s never let me down He’s faithful through every season; so why would He fail now? He won’t.

Life can sometimes feel like a whirlwind of stress, whether it involves yourself, your family, your friends, or people in your social circles. However, God has called you to something better – His peace. God’s peace is not a temporary escape; it is a lasting calm that shields your heart and mind from any stress or chaos around you.
My dear child, stress or chaos may swirl around you, but it doesn’t have to live in you. When people are trying to fan the flame of chaos around you, ask God to give you wisdom and patience to respond with grace. Choose to detox from stress by seeking God’s peace daily. Let Him guide your responses, calm your spirit, and fill your life with His peace. He will never fail you.
KEY POINT:
Say ‘no’ to situations that seek to drain your joy.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
LUKE 4:1-32, JOSHUA 11-13
HYMN 20: GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS
1 Great is thy faithfulness, O God, my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with thee.
Thou changest not, thy compassions, they fail not;
As thou hast been, thou forever wilt be.
Refrain:
Great is thy faithfulness,
Great is thy faithfulness,
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed thy hand hast provided;
Great is thy faithfulness,
Lord unto me.
2 Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon, and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To thy great faithfulness, mercy, and love.
3 Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine and ten thousand beside.
