TOPIC – The Joy Of The Holy Ghost (Open Heaven for Teens, 15 July 2026)
MEMORISE: Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. – Romans 15:13
BIBLE READING: Romans 15:10-13
10 And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.
11 And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.
12 And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.
13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
MESSAGE:
Joy is a powerful fruit of the Spirit that believers enjoy in their walk with God. It manifests as a bubble from within, even when there is nothing to be happy about. I remember a professor friend of mine who became born again and went to work the following day, smiling and bubbling with joy. When he asked me if that was normal, I affirmed it. Unlike happiness which is propelled by external happenings, joy is propelled by the Holy Spirit from within, and it is always evident in the lives of spirit-filled believers.
My dear child, when you experience divine joy, you won’t be sorrowful, even when you face challenges; rather, you will smile and believe that God will turn things around for your good. You may not have some of the beautiful things that some of your peers are enjoying now; you may even be faced with lack or a financial challenge. However, the joy of the Holy Spirit in you will help you maintain a positive attitude towards
KEY POINT:
The joy of the Holy Ghost brings peace that passes all understanding.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Mark 16, Deuteronomy 28-30
HYMN 58 – My Hope Is Built On Nothing Else
1 My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
Refrain:
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.
2 When darkness seems to veils His face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.
3 His oath, His covenant, and blood,
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.
4 When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
Dressed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.
