SCRIPTURE: Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It is not possible to be hopeless and be faith-filled.
Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2026 MESSAGE
Our anchor Scripture makes it clear that faith is the substance of things hoped for. That means no one can be hopeless and still be full of faith. People of faith are strangers to despair and discouragement.
Before there can be faith, there must first be hope. Hopefulness goes with expectation or the attitude of expectancy. Having an expectation means living with the mindset that something good, positive, and exciting is about to happen. It is being permanently on the lookout for divine manifestations.

Bishop David Oyedepo was once asked, “Are you surprised at where you are?” He replied, “I am not surprised at where we are. I would have rather been surprised if we were not here.” That was the force of magnetic expectation.
Job says in Job 14:14, All the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come. In other words, “No matter my present condition, my expectation for change remains sharp and intact.”
Concerning the man at the Beautiful Gate, Acts 3:5 says, And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. The Bible did not say he was expecting money specifically, but he was expecting something. That expectation positioned him for a life-transforming miracle.
Furthermore, in Acts 14:8-10, Paul looked at a crippled man and perceived that he had faith to be healed. There was a magnetic expectation in the man’s eyes. His faith pulled the miracle towards him.
Magnetic expectation is the kind of expectation that pulls manifestations. That was the kind of expectation Elisha displayed when Elijah was taken up. His expectation pulled the mantle of Elijah.
What then is expectation?
i. Expectation is the sustenance of active hope.
Concerning Abraham, Romans 4:18 says, Who against hope believed in hope… Expectation keeps hope alive. It is freedom from hopelessness.
ii. Expectation is desperation for divine manifestation.
You are desperate to see God move because you believe He will manifest Himself. That expectation keeps you searching, believing, and looking unto Him.
Beloved, always maintain the attitude of expectancy. When your expectation is in place, your faith remains alive. Keep expecting God to move, and He will manifest His Power in your life today in Jesus’ Name.
REMEMBER THIS: It is not possible to be hopeless and be faith-filled.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
- Refuse to entertain every form of hopelessness and discouragement.
- Keep your expectation alive through the Word of God and prayer.
- Wake up daily expecting God to move in your life.
PRAYER: Father, deliver me from hopelessness, discouragement, and despair. Fill my heart with vibrant expectation and potent faith. Help me to remain expectant of Your manifestations in my life, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
