SCRIPTURE: And the LORD appeared again in Shiloh: for the LORD revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the LORD. – 1 Samuel 3:21
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Every time you encounter the Word, you encounter the Presence of God.
Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2026 MESSAGE
The Word of the Lord is usually accompanied by the revelation of the Presence of God. No wonder, our anchor Scripture tells us that the Lord revealed Himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the Word of the Lord.
John 1:1 says, …the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Therefore, every time you encounter the Word, you encounter the Presence of God.
Every release of the Word is a release of His Presence. You feel God when you hear His Word.
Now, the blessing of His Presence is expressed in two dimensions:
- THE BLESSING OF REST
The Presence of God brings restfulness. That is why Exodus 33:14 says, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.
Psalm 16:11 added joy and pleasures to the benefits of His Presence, Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
There is rest in God’s Presence. His Presence brings a person into a realm where the agitations, anxieties, and burdens of life are replaced with rest and fullness of joy.
Matthew 11:28–29 confirms this with Jesus’ call: Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Jesus invites the weary and heavy laden into His Presence, where they can find rest for their souls.
- THE BLESSING OF THE COMFORT OF HIS PRESENCE
There is comfort in God’s Presence.
Psalm 23:1–6 gives us a beautiful picture of the comfort that comes from the Presence of God. The Lord is our Shepherd; He makes us to lie down in green pastures, leads us beside still waters, restores our souls, and leads us in the paths of righteousness.
Even when we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we do not need to fear, because He is with us. The Psalmist says, For thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
His Presence gives comfort even in the midst of difficult circumstances. It means that no matter what we are passing through, we are not alone. His Presence brings assurance, strength, and comfort.
Beloved, the Word of God is pathway to the Presence of God. Every time you encounter His Word, you encounter His Presence. Give yourself to the study of the Word so you can remain connected to His Presence. In His presence, there is rest, there is fullness of joy, and there is comfort for every season of life.
REMEMBER THIS: Every time you encounter the Word, you encounter the Presence of God.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
- Give yourself to consistent reading, hearing, and meditation on the Word of God.
- When faced with pressure or difficult circumstances, consciously seek God’s Presence through His Word and prayer.
- Refuse to carry your burdens alone; bring them to Jesus and receive the rest and comfort of His Presence.
PRAYER: Father, thank You for the gift of Your Word and the blessing of Your presence. Help me to remain connected to Your Word so I can continually experience Your Presence, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
