TOPIC – Surrender Your Emotions (Open Heaven for Teens, 2 November 2026)
MEMORISE: Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Proverbs 4:23
BIBLE READING: Proverbs 4:20-23
20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
MESSAGE:
I know that many teenagers can easily develop a crush on members of the opposite gender. This is natural; however, I implore you to be guided and not let your emotions run wild. In these last days, predators abound in the world, so you must guard your feelings and body by aligning with God’s will. At this stage of your life, your focus should be on growing in faith and character.
Whenever you are confused about your emotions, please surrender them to Christ. Psalm 374 says, “Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.” Instead of entering into romantic relationships based on your emotions, focus on building an intimate relationship with your heavenly Father: He knows what’s best for your future, including the right person you should get married to when you are eventually ready. My dear child, pray about your feelings, seek counsel from godly mentors, and remain patient. Emotions are like waves which come and go, but your foundation in Christ remains unshaken. Let God’s love fill your heart first, and He will handle everything about your future!
PRAYER POINT:
Father, please teach me to surrender my emotions to you and wait for Your best for my life.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Mark 10:32-52; Numbers 33-35

My soul will deligh,
He fills me day and night
I am happy in Him.
2 He sought me so long erel knew Him,
When wand- ring afar from the fold;
Safe home in His arms he hath brought me,
To where there are pleasure un told.
3 His love and His mercy surround me,
His grace like a riv-er doth flow;
His Spirit, to guide and to comfort,
ls with me wherever I go
4 They say I shall someday be like Him,
My cross and my burden lay down;
Till then I will ever be faithful.
In gathering gems for his crown.
