TOPIC: THE STONES WILL CRY OUT!
ANCHORED SCRIPTURES: LUKE 19:39-40; MATTHEW 3:9

The MESSAGE:

This morning, I do not have a sermon to preach to you, but I have a message. The message is to every believer here: ministers, pastors, workers, members of MFM here, and I want you to pay close attention to this message. It may look like a sermon but it is not. Listen very very carefully. If you are not used to listening to message, I counsel you to listen to this very carefully. No one comes to MFM by chance. If you are here, it is by divine appointment.

This is a very serious matter. “The stones will cry out”, Jesus told those people. There is a mystery called “replacement stones”, when people engage in guilty silence, nothing specific for God. You are not representing heaven where you are. When people neglect the call of God, when people ignore the commandment of Jehovah, then the command and warning is clear: that the failure to cry out and quickly change will lead to replacement. If the disciples and those people did not cry out, the stones would have replaced them in crying out.

What does it mean to “cry out”? To cry out is:

  • To witness for Jesus unashamedly. You are sitting down here this morning but how many people have you witnessed to, in the last six months; either by your words or activity? This is why a lot of people will be replaced unless they repent. That is why I said this is a message, not a sermon. God is in the process of that replacement in this ministry. As a Christian, they know you where you are. They know your stand. You witness unashamedly.

I wonder how many people here this morning are ready for that crying out. I wonder about the morning we will tag ‘evangelism morning’ and we just come, do praise worship, pray some prayers and everybody goes out on the streets to go and minister. I wonder how many will go, how many will hide, how many will jump into their cars and drive off, and the rest. It is such people God will replace because you are not crying out; you are not witnessing for Jesus.

  • To publicly declare your stand. They know who you are.
  • To let your light shine before all men. They know they cannot bring rubbish before you.
  • To declare the Lordship of our Lord Jesus Christ. Anywhere you are, if they have not publicly nicknamed as “this one is Jesus Jesus and mother of Jesus”, you are not a witness in that place. If they have never called you a fanatic, then you have not started to witness in that place.
  • To announce yourself on the Lord’s side. To be able to shout loud and clear from your heart: “I am on the Lord’s side, Saviour I am thine!”
  • To tell the world that you are a Christian and you have a portion with God.

Failure to cry out is writing is a courier letter to stones. It is important to pray: “O Lord, do not replace me with stones”. It is an important prayer indeed.

What are stones?

  • Unlikely people; people you never thought could get born again. All of a sudden, God will grab them, fill them with power, and anoint them. They were formerly native doctors, now they have become preachers. They were formerly Muslim imams, now they are preachers. They were formerly wicked men, now they are preaching the gospel; and you that are saying “I was baptized when I was young. My Father was a deacon, my mother was a deaconess. My father was a catechist, etc” are now carrying their bag and following them simply because you were not found where you should be found. So when you were busy messing up, God had called for a replacement.
  • Rejected people. People that their past lives are dirty, and stinking. You will be focused on their dirty and stinking lives without knowing that God has rebranded them; because everyday, the Bible says “the eyes of God are going to and fro, looking for those whose hearts are with Him”.
  • Stony hearted people. Hard people who originally hated the Bible. They might even have been killing Christians all of a sudden, they turned around.
  • Those written off by the world. People like prostitutes, idiots, thieves, armed robbers.
  • People from the dung hill of life.
  • Chronic unbelievers.
  • Wicked people who have killed so many people. Do you not see so many coming to the gospel now? Have you not seen witches and wizards dropping their witchcraft materials and surrendering to Jesus? The Bible says “if these ones keep quiet, the stones will cry out”.

This is what has brought serious fear into my heart when I realised that support, popularity, fame, prosperity, expansion is not a yardstick that you have divine approval. One quiet reason why God wants to replace many is due to their secret sins; cleverly concealed sins. Your sin is not a sleeping dog that should be left alone. Every sin requires the constant manufacture and reinforcement with many other sins. That cleverly concealed sin is the root of so many other sins and it is a constant offence to God.

That secret sin is polluting your prayers, and strengthening your enemies. It is a signal to God that you are taking your eternal issues of heaven and hell casually. Anyone who takes this morning message casually will become a casualty. But you will not say you were not warned. No sin can hide from God. This is a very serious matter.

I am praying again one more time that heaven will not replace you, in the name of Jesus.

When a man is in the garden of replacement by stones, there are simple things you would use to know:

  1. Dry or no quiet time. You wake up in the morning, no prayer or Bible reading, heaven is calling for your replacement, because you cannot continue like that.
  2. No fresh revelation from heaven. You cannot say “this is what God revealed to me today. This is what I saw today. I read my Bible and got this revelation”. Instead of getting fresh revelation from God, you are busy chatting and chatting away. No revelation from heaven or pondering over a Bible verse.
  3. Dry Bible study. Many can pray, call fire and thunder. But to sit down, take the Bible and study it, is a huge problem for them. There are people here this morning who have not been to any Monday Bible study for the past five or six years. There are many who do not even come when we are doing Sunday school. And that is where you learn about the Bible.
  4. When sleep is overtaking your prayers. Heaven does not want slumbering warriors. They are already calling for replacement.
  5. When you are already dreaming that they are stealing your Bible in the dream or that you are looking for your Bible in the dream and you cannot find it, you are close to replacement.
  6. When you are failing in spiritual activity in your dream. Maybe you were asked to teach or preach in your dream but you were not able to do it. Then you are calling for replacement.
  7. When you see yourself naked in the dream, heaven is already calling for your replacement and you need to pray hard.
  8. When you are going from meaningful dreams to meaningless dreams.
  9. When you are going back to your old sins. The old sins that you left before you got born again.
  10. You are speaking powerless and dry tongues.
  11. You are too busy to hear from God.
  12. You hear no voice at all from heaven and your level of secret sin is very high.

So what were you doing for God that you have stopped doing now? What stopped you from doing it? Who or what has kept you from doing it? Is it your friends? Critics? Other people’s views? Worldliness? Or poor time management keeping you from crying out the way you should cry out? Then you must arise and repent and you shake yourself away from the satanic vacation that the enemy is giving you. You better jump out of this sinking boat into the Saviour’s boat.

May stones not replace you!!

  2. Serpent strongman, troubling my family, die in the name of Jesus.

[After Ministration]

Begin to ask the Lord for forgiveness and have mercy. Begin to look at areas where you have not satisfied heaven, where heaven is completely displeased.

  1. My Father, have mercy on me, in the name of Jesus.
  2. Powers assigned to waste my salvation, die in the name of Jesus.
  3. I shall not be a candidate of hell fire, in the name of Jesus.
