Topic: Training the Human Spirit
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17. Read: Ps. 1:1-3
The Lord enlightens and guides us through our spirits. If that be the case — and it is, then we need to become more spirit conscious. Overtime, we have developed the body and the soul, but we have left the spirit of man almost untouched. Your spirit can be educated just as your mind can be educated. According to Kenneth E. Hagin, there are four rules by which you can train and develop your own human spirit.
1) By meditation in the Word. You cannot develop spiritual wisdom without meditation. God told Joshua in 1:8 that meditation in the Word will make him prosper.
2) By practicing the Word. We have many talkers, rejoicers of the Word but very few doers of the Word. James 1:22
3) By giving the Word first place. The training, developing and education of our spirits comes by giving the Word of God first place in our lives. Prov. 4:20-22.
4) By instantly obeying the voice of your spirit. The human spirit has a voice which is called conscience. Every man’s spirit, saved or unsaved, has a voice. These four vital keys are necessary in training our spirits.
The Word of God is the greatest tool to train your spirit man.
