TOPIC: It Is Not Your Expertise (TREM Devotional 30 January 2023)
“But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.” Deuteronomy 8:18 (KJV)
Wisdom For The Day MESSAGE:
God gives you the ability, wisdom, and understanding to succeed. It is not your expertise. It is not your first-class degree. It is not your connection. He is the one who gives the power to get wealth. So, acknowledge Him. When you acknowledge Him, He orders your steps.
We live in a world today, where some people who by their academic qualifications are doctors, lawyers, nurses, engineers, etc., have been positioned in different careers such that their pay cheque or income is not based on what they studied at the university. How did that happen? “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: And he delighteth in his way.” (Psalm 37:23 KJV)
Sometimes the devil will want to take you on a detour. He will push you back. But the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. Sometimes life events will try to distract you, but the Lord will reorder your steps gradually. You will think you are fooling around, suddenly something will click. You will gain speed and you will be wondering; how did I get here? That is the way it works. The steps of a good man are ordered by God.
There are some of you who are next in line, ready to explode. I am excited because this God is too good. He beats our imagination. When you have made all the calculations, He just sets them aside and decides to show you His other side. His name is El Shaddai, the God that is more than enough who sets apart natural laws to execute what He wants. Acknowledge Him in all your ways. Make Him your priority. Make Him first. And He will show up for you supernaturally. He flexes His muscles on your behalf and plants your feet upon high places.
Always acknowledge Him as the one who gives you the ability to succeed. It is God, not your expertise.
