TOPIC: God’s Judgement Upon The Land

READ: Isaiah 7:17-25 (NKJV)

  1. “The LORD will bring the king of Assyria upon you and your people and your father’s house — days that have not come since the day that Ephraim departed from Judah.”
  2. And it shall come to pass in that day [That] the LORD will whistle for the fly That [is] in the farthest part of the rivers of Egypt, And for the bee that [is] in the land of Assyria.
  3. They will come, and all of them will rest In the desolate valleys and in the clefts of the rocks, And on all thorns and in all pastures.
  4. In the same day the Lord will shave with a hired razor, With those from beyond the River, with the king of Assyria, The head and the hair of the legs, And will also remove the beard.
  5. It shall be in that day [That] a man will keep alive a young cow and two sheep;
  6. So it shall be, from the abundance of milk they give, That he will eat curds; For curds and honey everyone will eat who is left in the land.
  7. It shall happen in that day, [That] wherever there could be a thousand vines [Worth] a thousand [shekels] of silver, It will be for briers and thorns.
  8. With arrows and bows men will come there, Because all the land will become briers and thorns.
  9. And to any hill which could be dug with the hoe, You will not go there for fear of briers and thorns; But it will become a range for oxen And a place for sheep to roam.

THE MESSAGE:

It is true that God had assured the people of His deliverance from the hands of the Syrians and the Northern Kingdom of Israel, however, He warned them here of impending judgement through the Assyrians. The judgement would be terrible, agreeing with His Word in Hebrews 10:31, “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” Though their offences were not mentioned here, God can hardly punish anyone without a cause.

Usually, God would take His time to warn people before His punishment comes. From the time of the Flood till date, He has been using His servants to warn of a worse future judgement for the world; this one would be with fire. Though we are constantly reminded of hell fire as a place of torment, many take it for granted. Some even joke about it.

Remember, God has not changed His agenda about these things. May we continue to warn others and also take heed to ourselves to ensure we are not caught up with God’s Judgement! May we pray for our nation and other nations that God’s judgement will not come upon them suddenly!

PRAYER: Dear Lord, may I not be caught up by Your judgement, Amen!

TOPIC: GOD’S JUDGEMENT UPON THE LAND

  1. Father in the name of Jesus, thank You for the grace to see this day, the thirty-sixth day in year 2025 in good health, sound mind and in joy
  2. Father, thank You for the special gift of life, many wished to see this month, but they couldn’t.
  3. Thank You Jesus for being there for us, Your children.
  4. Thank You Lord for Your plans for me this year. They are plans of good, not of evil, to give me a good and successful end.
  5. Father, please forgive me all my known and unknown sins, and let no sin reign over my life this year, in Jesus’ name.
  6. The Bible says “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God”. Help me, Holy Spirit, not to sin willfully and fall into the hands of the living God, in Jesus’ name.
  7. I receive grace to yield to God’s warning and adjust my ways, in Jesus’ name.
  8. I refuse to be a candidate of hell fire, in Jesus’ name.
  9. Help me, Holy Spirit, to escape the coming judgement of God, in Jesus’ name.
  10. Father, we pray for our nation and other nations that Your judgement will not come upon them suddenly, in Jesus’ name.
  11. LORD, help me to get my life right this year, and let Your perfect will be enforced on me, in Jesus name
  12. LORD, help us to get it right in Nigeria, and let Your perfect will be enforced on us in Jesus’ name.
  13. Heavenly Father, let Your peace continue to reign in every part of this country,
  14. Whether the devil likes it or not, I will make heaven and receive my eternal rewards in Jesus’ Name.
  15. This is the day the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.
