A Promise For You From Bible Promises:
Topic: Consecrate Yourself
The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion. Proverbs 28:1
James Calvert, a missionary to Fiji Islands, which was noted for its cannibalism, consecrated himself to follow God through. When he and his fellow missionaries landed on the island, the captain of the ship, in an attempt to discourage them, tried to turn back. “You will die, the men with you will die, if you stay here,” the captain cried. After a moment, Calvert, replied him, “We have died before we came here”. It takes consecration to be bold and fearless in the midst of fear. To be Consecrated is to be dedicated to a purpose (I. e, spiritual purity), It is to give oneself fully to a course without wavering. It’s also to be sold out for something. If you want to be spiritually strong, there is need for you to enter into a permanent consecration with God. Consecration makes the spiritually weak strong. Consecration makes you fearless and bold as a lion. It helps you face life without fear of death or failure, rather, you look forward to success.
To be consecrated, Paul told us in Colossians 3:5&8 to Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. The works of the flesh must be put under check so that the fruits of the Spirit can take over. Eph. 5:19-24. You cannot live a successful peacable life without consecration and Holy Spirit is the agent of it. If you ask Him now, He will help you.
* Consecration is the key to living a peaceful, fearless and harmless life.
