TOPIC: God Whispers (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Devotional 11 April 2025)
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Joshua 5:1-7:15, Psalm 81:1-16, Luke 15:1-32, Proverbs 13:1
FIRE SCRIPTURE: 1 Kings 19:6-14 (KJV)
6 And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again.
7 And the angel of the Lord came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.
8 And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.
9 And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the Lord came to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah?
10 And he said, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.
11 And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And, behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake:
12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
13 And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?
14 And he said, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts: because the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.
MEMORY VERSE: “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.” – James 4:8 (KJV)

MFM Devotional For Today 2025 MESSAGE:
God whispers. Have you ever heard the whisper of God? Who are those qualified to be whispered to? Why does God whisper? What does He communicate through His whispering?
The Psalmist wrote that God spoke once, but twice did he hear that all power belongs to God (Psalm 62:11). Therefore, God can do anything at any time according to His will. God speaks to humans lovingly as His children. But when we are in trouble or in pain, He comforts us through His word and quietly ministers into our hearts by His Spirit. As the Shepherd of our soul, God shouts at us when we are going astray to bring us back on the right track.

God whispers to our ears to draw us closer to Him. He does it to establish a deeper relationship between Himself and His children. A whisper is a silent way of speaking that is restricted to only the speaker and the listener. It is for the ears of the two persons only. God talks to the inner man of those He loves, reaffirming His love and presence. This is what He did to Elijah, the man of fire, who was afraid, got depressed, and fled just because of Jezebel’s threats. He thought that God had abandoned him and the only way out was to flee from His presence. Fortunately, God whispered into his ears to reassure him of His love and presence in his life. He also confirmed to him that he wasn’t alone; rather, there were seven thousand men who were still undefiled.
Beloved, covet to be a candidate of God’s whisper and not His shout. Be intimately connected to Him so you can hear His whisper and understand His message. His shout is not like the devil that roars to devour; rather, He speaks louder to rebuke, correct, and direct us when we’re drifting away from the truth. God’s whisper carries a comforting grace, the type that made Elijah carry on and fulfill the last leg of his calling.
Also, note that sin can be deafening, preventing you from hearing His whisper. Do you regard iniquity in your heart? Are you angry, bitter, or even harboring an unforgiving spirit? You won’t hear divine whisper. I implore you to let go, forgive, and forget.
