TOPIC – Jesus: The Sin Bearer (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Devotional 6 April 2026)

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 53:1-5 (KJV)
1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?
2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

MFM Devotional For Today 2026 MESSAGE:
The significance of Christ’s atoning sacrifice and substitutionary work is still not clear to many believers nor fully appreciated by then. Beloved, the Bible affirms that Christ alone bore our sins. The word of God says that the Father laid on Jesus the iniquity of us all (Isaiah 53:6). It adds that it pleased the Father to bruise Him and put Him to grief-all for our sake.

Jesus paid the penalty of sin, which is death. That penalty was necessitated by the wrath of God and Jesus made Himself the propitiation of that wrath. Similarly, sin’s penalty is abandonment and Jesus was abandoned. That is why He cried, “My God, my God, why has thou forsaken me?” (Psalm 22:1). He was wounded for our transgression; he was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was upon him… and with his stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).
Jesus was made sin; his soul was an offering for our sins. He bore sin in all its offence and liability and so He made an end of sin. He Himself had no sin. He became our substitute. Hence, He takes the cup of curse while we take the cup of blessing. He takes the cup of damnation while we take the cup of salvation. He takes the cup of abandonment while we take the cup of fellowship with the blessed Trinity.
Beloved, it is a great thing that Jesus bore your sins, mine and the sins of the whole world. Do not take this divine privilege for granted or abuse this great grace. Do not live in sin anymore, otherwise you will be guilty of nailing the Son of God to the cross the second time. Examine yourself today in the light of God’s word and heed His admonition in 1 Peter 4:1-2: die to sin, live according to God’s will and arm yourself with Christ’s attitude.
Always remember this biblical truth: Christ died for you and you rose with Him to newness of life. The best way to appreciate Christ’s sacrificial love of bearing your sin is to live in righteousness consistently.

- Lord Jesus, I praise You for Your peerless love and sacrifice in taking my sins upon Yourself.
- Thank You, Jesus, for Your atoning sacrifice that has reconciled me to God.
- Jesus has broken the power of sin over my life; I shall walk in righteousness and newness of life henceforth, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
- I claim deliverance from sickness through the finished work of Christ at Calvary, in the name of Jesus.
- I claim perfect healing for my spirit, soul and body, through the death and resurrection of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
- I claim the victory of the cross and the blessings of Calvary, in the name of Jesus.
- I overcome the spirit of death and hell by the power in the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
