TOPIC: Noah Prayed (Open Heaven for Teens, 23 September 2025)
MEMORISE: But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. – Genesis 6:8
BIBLE READING: Genesis 6:6-9
6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
MESSAGE:
Amid mockery and adversity, Noah showed courage, faithfulness, and obedience to God. The world had become perverse, and as a result, God wanted to destroy everything He had created and start afresh. He instructed Noah to build an ark with specific dimensions. After Noah built the ark, he informed people about God’s coming judgement and His provision to preserve them. Rather than adhere to Noah’s warning. people laughed at him, and only his family and some animals were eventually saved.

If prayer means communication with God, then it implies that Noah prayed throughout the period that he built the ark. He sought God’s guidance and protection as he built the ark in preparation for the impending flood.
My dear child, are your parents planning to start a building project or a business and are seeking professional ideas? You should encourage them to seek divine strategies from God so that whatever they plan to build will last and stand the test of time. Any project you involve God in will always be successful.
KEY POINT
Only the things that God is involved in stand the test of time.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR
Isaiah 41:17-43:13, Ephesians 2:1-22
HYMN: 43 – Lead Us Heavenly Father, Lead Us
1 Lead Us, Heavenly Father, Lead Us
O’er The World’s Tempestuous Sea;
Guard Us, Guide Us, Keep Us, Feed Us,
For We Have No Help But Thee,
Yet Possessing Every Blessing
If Our God Our Father Be.
2 Saviour, Breathe Forgiveness O’er Us;
All Our Weakness Thou Dost Know;
Thou Didst Tread This Earth Before Us,
Thou Didst Feel lts Keenest Woe;
Lone And Dreary, Faint And Weary,
Through The Desert Thou Didst Go.
3 Spirit Of Our God, Descending,
Fill Our Hearts With Heavenly Joy,
Love With Every Passion Blending,
Pleasure That Can Never Cloy;
Thus Provided, Pardoned, Guided,
Nothing Can Our Peace Destroy.
