READ: 2 Kings 2:1-3
- And it came to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.
- And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Beth-el. And Elisha said unto him, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Beth-el.
- And the sons of the prophets that were at Beth-el came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.
MESSAGE:
Walking with God requires total commitment, which entails facing a particular direction without turning back, no matter what.
An example of a person who showed total commitment in the Bible was Elisha. He stayed with his master, Elijah, even until the moment God took him to heaven. When his master told him he would be leaving, he did not look for another master; rather, he followed Elijah until the end. God can use anyone to test the level of your commitment; it is how you react that determines whether you are committed or not. For example, God could allow your choir coordinator to nag at you at every given opportunity just to test whether you will endure or leave the department.
Beloved, do not let the actions of people towards you change your opinion about the things of God. Instead, more than ever, be committed because, on the day of judgment, there will be no excuses.
KEY POINT:
Be committed to God no matter the circumstances that come your way.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR

HYMN 41: Jesus, My Lord, My God, My All
- Jesus, My Lord, My God, My All,
Hear Me, Blest Saviour, When I Call;
Hear Me, And From Thy Dwelling Place
Pour Down The Riches Of Thy Grace;
Refrain:
Jesus, My Lord, I Thee Adore;
Oh Make Me Love Thee More And More.
- Jesus, Too Late I Thee Have Sought;
How Can I Love Thee As I Ought?
And How Extol Thy Matchless Fame,
The Glorious Beauty Of Thy Name? [Refrain] - Jesus, What Didst Thou Find In Me,
That Thou Hast Dealt So Lovingly?
How Great The Joy That Thou Hast Brought
So Far Exceeding Hope Or Thought! [Refrain] - Jesus, Of Thee Shall Be My Song,
To Thee My Heart And Soul Belong;
All That I Have Or Am Is Thine,
And Thou, Blest Saviour, Thou Art Mine. [Refrain]
