READ: Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

  1. To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
  2. A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
  3. A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
  4. A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
  5. A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
  6. A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
  7. A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
  8. A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

MESSAGE:

There was a chief I kept preaching to for some years who kept postponing the day of his repentance and salvation. Then, one day, he suddenly had a stroke, but he managed to tell his people to send for me. I went to meet him, prayed for him, and God healed him. Then I said, “Chief, I sense that God gave you a second chance. Will you give your life to Him now?” Again, he said, “Not yet.” The next time I heard about him, he was dead.

There have been cases where a fellow did not get a second chance to repent before he or she died. Some people blatantly refused to repent until it was too late. Beloved, it may seem as if there will always be time to repent and start living holy, but tomorrow may really be too late. Everyone has a cup; the day that cup gets full is the day the person’s time to repent runs out. If you’re living in sin, God is waiting for you to repent of them before your cup becomes full and it becomes too late. Do not be like the chief who died without surrendering his life to Jesus.

KEY POINT:
Tomorrow may be too late.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR
DANIEL 2:24-3:30, 1 PETER 4:7-5:14

HYMN 57: Must I Go And Empty Handed?

  1. Must I Go And Empty Handed?
    Thus My Dear Redeemer Meet?
    Not One Day Of Service Give Him,
    Lay No Trophy At His Feet?

Refrain:
Must I Go, And Empty-Handed?
Must I Meet My Saviour So?
Not One Soul With Which To Greet Him?
Must I Empty Handed Go?

  1. Not At Death I Shrink Or Falter
    For My Saviour Saves Me Now
    But To Meet Him Empty Handed
    Thought Of That Now Clouds My Brow
  2. Oh, The Years In Sinning Wasted
    Could I But Recall Them Now
    I Would Give Them To My Saviour
    To His Will I’d Gladly Bow
  3. O Ye Saints, Arouse, Be Earnest
    Up And Work While Yet ’Tis Day
    Ere The Night Of Death O’er Take Thee,
    Strive For Souls While Still You May.
