TOPIC: Ignite The Fire (Open Heaven for Teens, 30 March 2026)

MEMORISE: O LORD, I have heard Your speech and was afraid: O LORD, revive Your work in the midst of the years! In the midst of the years make it known: In wrath remember mercy. Habakkuk 3:2

BIBLE READING: Acts 2:1-4

1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

MESSAGE:

During a time of great difficulty, Prophet Habakkuk recognised God’s power and mercy and cried out for revival among God’s people. He interceded for them in prayer, longing for their hearts to be stirred and drawn back to God’s presence. Revival begins when God’s people humble themselves, earnestly seek Him in prayer, and turn away from sin, as (2 Chronicles 7:14) tells us.

In today’s Bible reading, the Holy Spirit descended upon the disciples as cloven tongues of fire, as they gathered to pray, empowering them to witness for Christ with boldness. That divine encounter ignited a movement that is still transforming the world today.

My dear child, to ignite the fire of revival in your life, you must develop o genuine hunger for God, repent of any sins that might be in your life, pray fervently, and yield to the Holy Spirit. As you seek God, He will renew your heart, empower you for service, and bring transformation to your community through you.

PRAYER POINT:
Revival starts when God’s people humble themselves, pray, and turn from their wicked ways.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Luke 7:1-30, Judges 1-2

HYMN 4: Revive Thy Work, O Lord

1 Revive Thy work, O Lord,
Thy mighty arm make bare;
speak with the voice that wakes the dead,
and make Thy people hear.

Refrain:
Revive Thy work, O Lord,
while here to Thee we bow;
descend, O gracious Lord, descend!
O come and bless us now.

2 Revive Thy work, O Lord,
now let us thirst for Thee;
and hung’ring for the bread of life
may all our spirits be. [Refrain]

3 Revive Thy work, O Lord,
exalt Thy precious name;
and, by the Holy Ghost, our love
for Thee and Thine inflame. [Refrain]

4 Revive Thy work, O Lord,
give pow’r unto Thy word;
grant that Thy blessed gospel may
in living faith be heard. [Refrain]

5 Revive Thy work, O Lord,
and give refreshing show’rs;
the glory shall be all Thine own,
the blessing, Lord, be ours. [Refrain]
