TOPIC: The Benefits Of His Resurrection (Open Heaven for Teens, 4 April 2026)
MEMORISE: I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death. Revelation 1:18
BIBLE READING: Luke 24:5-7
5 And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,
7 Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
MESSAGE
I believe that when Jesus was crucified, the devil was happy, thinking that he had won the battle. However, today’s memory verse makes it clear that Jesus rose from the dead, and He is alive forevermore.
One thing that I love about Jesus’ resurrection and ascension into heaven is that the Holy Spirit was sent to us. Oh! How I love the Holy Spirit! Without Him, a Christian is powerless. No believer can live a victorious life without the help of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus’ resurrection also positioned Him at the right hand of the Father, where He intercedes on our behalf at all times (Romans 8:34). Therefore, no matter how deep a believer may have fallen back into sin, he or she can receive forgiveness from God. Such a fellow can return to the throne of grace and obtain mercy from the Father.
Lastly, Jesus’ resurrection assures every believer of a place in heaven. I remember when God opened my eyes to see my mansion in heaven; my heart was filled with overwhelming joy. I look forward to getting there someday, which is why I strive to live a holy life. My dear child, make up your mind to live a holy life so that you can spend eternity with your Father in heaven.
REFLECTION
Are you living a holy life?
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR
Mark 10:32-52 Numbers 33-35
HYMN: God sent His son, they called Him, Jesus
1 God sent His son, they called Him, Jesus
He came to love, heal and forgive;
He lived and died to buy my pardon,
An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives!
Chorus
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives, all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth a living, Just because He lives!
2 How sweet to hold a newborn baby,
And feel the pride and joy he gives;
But greater still, the calm assurance:
This child can face uncertain days! [Chorus]
3 And then one day, I’ll cross the river,
I’ll fight life’s final war with pain;
And then, as death gives way to victory,
I’ll see the lights of glory and I’ll know He lives! [Chorus]
