Topic: How far should we go? [Saturday June 13, 2015]
“All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.” –1 Corinthians 6:12
Usually, Christian couples want to know how far they can take their sexual intimacy. They wonder what the acceptable boundary is for them. The world has so perverted the act of sex; introducing all manner of techniques in a bid to satisfy their lustful desires, that the church wonders if it is all wrong– for married couples.
While it is not wrong for you to enjoy yourselves in the confines of marriage, all things should be done moderately and in order. You know, as Christians, we all have the ability to know when we are wrong, right and/or going beyond our limits. Your conscience can always tell you when things are not right.
We must never kill that inner voice; for it just might be the Holy Spirit telling you what should be. Every believer has a measure of the Holy Spirit in them; so let Him guide you, even in sexual matters. You can ask Him to lead you aright and be sure that His leading will bring you satisfaction in a godly manner.
Nevertheless, God created sex to bring man pleasure and create intimacy between husband and wife. So, don’t allow the fear of crossing the lines keep you from enjoying your marriage. Make it a return to Eden, as you maintain sanctity and purity in your home. Your marriage will not fail in the name of Jesus Christ!
Remain Blessed!
