Topic: What time is it? [Thursday April 16, 2015]

“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:” –Ecclesiastics 3:1

I know what’s going through your mind. You think it is the physical time on your wristwatch or clock, but no it is the time that tells you what you should be doing and when you to move on to the next phase. Most people leave their lives to chance and as such, are not motivated to move ahead, even when the timing is right for them. For instance, in life, you have the time to eat, sleep, go to school, gain as many degrees as you want and then to build your own family.

However, if your priorities in life are misplaced, you will end up mixing up timelines for what you ought to be doing. I have heard people tell me stories of regret and self-pity. They make statements like, if I had known I would have done this or that when I had the time. Yes, that is true of them, because there are certain ages that calls for certain achievements; so when you miss them, you have missed it for life.

This is why as people with young and bright minds, zeal and strength, you must put all efforts in achieving what you can, at the right time. Set your priorities straight; have a goal for yourself. Endeavour to meet this goal at a certain time, so you can then go ahead to set new and greater goals. This in itself brings unusual fulfilment.

When you fail to know what time it is to do what, you end up doing the wrong things that would lead you to regrets. Therefore, rather than following after worldly pleasure, seeking for unnecessary attention and gain, running after friends and money, seek to achieve what would last for a lifetime. Set a target for yourself, achieve it and then set a new one. You will excel in all your endeavours!

Remain Blessed!
