OPENING PRAYER: Father, implant in me grace to live all for you as I journey in life.
PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: The leaders should remind the members of last week’s lesson on overcoming idolatry.
MEMORY VERSE: It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. – John 6:63 (KJV)
BIBLE TEXT: Hebrews 4:12 (KJV)
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

LESSON INTRODUCTION: Zoe is a Greek word for life. Biblically, it is defined as “eternal life or God-kind of life”. John 17:3. It means the rich, abundant divine nature of God, His fullness of love, joy, power and abilities. 1 John 1:2
LESSON AIM: To help members understand Zoe, God’s kind of life.
TEACHING OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, members should be able to: Know what power in the word of God is. Know what the life of God is.
TEXT REVIEW: Hebrew 4:12
- Whatever God says to us is full of living power.
- God’s word is sharper than any two-edged sword.
- God’s word exposes us to what we really are.
LESSON OUTLINE ONE: POWER IN THE WORD OF GOD – JOHN 6:63b
i. The power of God’s word brings total transformation in people’s lives.
ii. It inspires, guides and moulds to divine purpose
iii. It reveals the divine concept and God’s plans.
iv. It teaches us the truth and makes us realise what is wrong in our lives.
v. It straightens us out and helps us to do what is right. 2 Timothy 3:16.
vi. It reproduces God in us. The seed is God’s message to men. Luke 8:11
vii. It redirects our steps to conform to divine purpose. 1 Peter 2:25.
viii. It spurs our faith into action. Romans 10:17
LESSON OUTLINE TWO: THE LIFE OF GOD
God is a Spirit, and He lives in us, which is why we have eternal life, strength and a desire to obey Him. To live the life of God,
a. Be ready to worship Him in Spirit and in truth. John 4:34
b. Be ready to be led always by the Holy Spirit, dwell fully in Him. Romans 8:1-5
c. Be always in constant communication with Him in prayers. 1 Thessalonians 5:17.
d. Always read and study the word of God in order to receive divine instruction. Joshua 1:8.
e. Be obedient to God’s word and His leading. Joshua 1:8.
f. Your associates must be godly and God-fearing. 1 Corinthians 15:33, Hebrews 10:24-28
SUMMARY: God’s word exposes us to what we really are.
CONCLUSION: To gain access to the throne of grace and enjoy divine privileges, you must be holy in all manner of conversation. 1 Peter 1:15-16.
PRAYER POINTS.
- Father, divinely redesign my life to follow your ordained plans.
- Father, let every content in your word reshape my destiny for the best.
- Father, keep my life from the saboteur of destiny and God’s agenda.
- Father, make my life meaningful and beautiful.
- Father, save all our young ones from evil mandate.

MONDAY: Let the power in your word reveal your concept and plans for my life.
TUESDAY: Word of God teaches us the truth and makes us realise what is wrong in our lives.
WEDNESDAY: Zoe straightens us out and helps us to do what is right. 2 Timothy 3:16.
THURSDAY: Zoe reproduces God in us.
FRIDAY: The seed is God’s message to men. Luke 8:11
SATURDAY: God kind of life redirects our steps to conform to divine purpose. 1 Peter 2:25.
SUNDAY: Proof Zoe in your way and life too this week.
