SCRIPTURE: And there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die? – 2 Kings 7:3

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2025 MESSAGE
Our anchor scripture is about the story of the four lepers at the gate of Samaria when Samaria was under the siege of the Syrians. These leprous men decided to go to the camp of the Syrians in search of food as hunger was grievous in the city. They said to one another, Why sit we here until we die? If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die (2 Kings 7:3-4).
So, they decided to take responsibility for their lives, and by so doing delivered a whole nation from captivity. Thus, they made history in their generation (2 Kings 7:1-20).
Today, we shall be looking at lessons to learn from the story of these four lepers as far as taking our destiny in our hands is concerned.
- When mentality is engaged captivity is terminated. The four lepers said, “Why sit we here until we die?” They engaged their minds.
Beloved, you use your senses to change your season. Those who think don’t stink. When you use your head, you get ahead. So, engage your mind: “Why is my life, ministry, or business like this? How can it get better?” And as you think, solution will come.
- Possibilities answer to responsibility. Nothing is possible until someone is responsible.
- You don’t wait for things to change; you move for things to change. If something must change, somebody must move. Nothing would have changed if the lepers remained at the gate of Samaria. They would have perished there.
- It is better to try and fail than to fail to try. There are many people whose destinies have not seen the light of day because of their failure to try.
- There is no rise without risk. If anyone must rise in life and destiny, there is a risk to take.
Most times, advancement comes with the confrontation of adversity. The lepers seemed to have said, “If we go, we may die, and if we sit here, we will still die. So, it is better to take the risk.”
Beloved, engage your mind and take a step forward in the right direction.
Remember this: When you use your head, you get ahead.

- Take calculated risks for your rise in life and refuse to accept failure.
PRAYER: Lord, I receive grace to take responsibility for my life and destiny by Your help Lord. I refuse to give up on my quest for the best of God in life and destiny, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
