SCRIPTURE: Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. – Luke 21:26

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You cannot be afraid and be safe at the same time.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2025 MESSAGE

We live in a fear-filled world especially as we approach the end of the age. When you listen to the news, when you look around and see what is going on, you will confirm that it is a fear-filled world.

For a life riddled with fear and trepidation, taking charge everywhere at the frequency of faith becomes practically impossible. This is because fear is contrary to faith.

Dealing with the enemy called fear is crucial if we must survive, take charge everywhere and fulfil our destiny. And to deal with fear, we must know its causes.

Now, what are the sources and causes of fear?

  1. The hearing of the ear. Negative news and information (Deuteronomy 13:11).
  2. The sight of the eye (negative sights and visuals). What we see affects our fear(Luke 21:26, 1 Samuel 17:24).
  3. Negative dreams and visions or revelations. The enemy passes through these channels to introduce fear (Job 7:14).
  4. Negative patterns and cycles. I remember a young lady who took care of her aunt that was dying of cancer. This young girl grew up, and the fear of cancer remained with her.

Eventually, the fear manifested the same cancer symptom in her body about twenty plus years later.

Beloved, you must hate fear like you hate sin or death. You must attack fear like you attack a terrible disease because fear invites disaster. It invites calamity. Fear deletes safety (Job 3:25,26). You cannot be afraid and be safe at the same time. Fear destroys faith, and you need faith to live. Remember, the just shall live by faith (Habakuk 2:4). Fear counteracts the workings of God. Fear enables the devil and almost literally disables God.

Now, how do we deal with fear?

  1. Walk in uprightness. Exist with a clear conscience (Proverbs 28:1). The righteous are as bold as a lion. Children look at people straight in the eyes without fear because where there is nothing to hide, there is nothing to fear.
  2. Stuff your heart with the Word of God (Romans 10:17).Whatever builds your faith, kills your fear. Be on a steady diet of the Word.
  3. Guard the gates to your heart (Your eyes and ears). Never watch or listen to things that will destroy your faith (Proverbs 4:23).

Remember this: You cannot be afraid and be safe at the same time.

ASSIGNMENT (S):

  1. Go through the action points on what to do to deal with fear as mentioned in our study today.
  2. Consistently build your faith by studying the Word. Search the scripture and locate Words in any area where you perceive fear in your life.

PRAYER: Lord, as I study Your Word, kill every trace of fear in my life. I receive victory over the enemy, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
