TOPIC: The Force Of Sacrifice (Seeds Of Destiny 7 November 2025)
SCRIPTURE: Turn again our captivity, O Lord, as the streams in the south. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. – Psalm 126:4-5.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Sacrifice is a major force for the termination of captivity.
Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2025 MESSAGE
Yesterday, we saw that the release of love was the guarantee of freedom. The release of love, therefore, constitutes a major part of our responsibility for freedom.
Beloved, freedom is not free; it comes with responsibility. If freedom is our desire, then we need to accept certain responsibilities and deploy certain forces.
In our study today, we shall be looking at the deployment of “THE FORCE OF SACRIFICE” as another part of our responsibility for freedom.

Sacrifice involves giving towards God and His kingdom. Psalm 126:4-5 says, Turn again our captivity, O Lord, as the streams in the south. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
This scripture makes it clear that sowing is a major secret of captivity turnaround.
Similarly, Genesis 8:20 unveils to us the power of sacrifice: “And Noah built an altar to the Lord, took of every clean beast and every fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. And the Lord smelled a sweet savour and took the curse from off the earth.” (Genesis 8:20 paraphrased). And verse 22 of the same Chapter of Genesis says, While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
I once heard the story of Oral Roberts. He was almost dying of a terrible heart attack at the age of 75, so he told his wife, “Empty my account, give all the money to God as my sacrifice, and tell Him that I don’t want to die now.” In Nigeria, a 75-year-old man is considered an old man, but here was a 75-year-old man who considered himself too young to die. After that sacrifice, that heart attack was reversed, and he lived to be 91 years old. That is, almost 16 more years were added to his life after that sacrifice.
When God called Gideon, He told him in Judges 6:25-26 to destroy the altars of Baal in his father’s house, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt sacrifice. In essence, God was saying, “I want you to go forward, but I don’t want anything from your history to limit your movement to the future. So, pull down the altars of your father’s house and make a sacrifice.”
So, sacrifice is a force for freedom. It breaks the chain of limitations. Sacrifice is a major force for the termination of captivity.

ASSIGNMENT(S):
- Determine to raise an altar of sacrifice in every area where you desire divine intervention.
- Trust God in the direction as to what should constitute your sacrifice.
PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to engage in sacrifices that will give me a total turnaround and enforce my all-round liberty, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
