TOPIC: You Are A World Overcomer (TREM Devotional 11 May 2025)
“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” (1 John 5:4 KJV)
MESSAGE:
As children of God, we are already overcomers against everything that tries to confront, harass, intimidate, or terrorize us, regardless of what it is. You have the victory over the doctor’s negative report, fear on the highway, charms, divinations or enchantments. We have overcome them because we are in Christ, and greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Take time to meditate on today’s Bible verse. Our faith in what Christ has done for us, is the victory that overcomes the world. Irrespective of what you see around, what you hear, or whatever the enemy throws at you, you have already overcome them. The Word of God in Romans 8:37 says, “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” (KJV)
The Bible says in John 15:19, “If you are of this world, the world will love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.” (NKJV). Therefore, don’t be surprised by the antics and attacks coming against you – they is normal, because the world hates you. However, in spite of them, you remain undefeated, because you are not of this world. Others can be affected, but not you, because you operate from a higher dimension. Therefore, you are indomitable. You cannot be destroyed, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
The other day, Jesus told us in John 16:33: “These things I have spoken unto you that in me you might have peace. But in the world, you shall have tribulations. But be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” (KJV). The Amplified version paints a more vivid picture: it says, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world, you have tribulation and distress and suffering (and terror), but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy in the midst of the battle]; because I have overcome the world.”
Beloved, victory is already guaranteed – you are a world overcomer. Now, approach every situation from the standpoint of this victory you have.
