TOPIC: You Are One With Christ (TREM Devotional 12 October 2025)
MESSAGE: “For both He that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause He is not ashamed to call them brethren.” – Hebrews 2:11 (KJV)
Beloved, you and Jesus share the same Father. Just as Jesus calls God Father, you have that same God-given right by reason of your new creation in Christ. That’s why Jesus is not ashamed to call us His brothers and sisters, we have become one with Him!
You might say, “Brother Mike, you don’t know what I did before I came to church.” But, child of God, even if you’ve messed up or missed the mark, He is still not ashamed of you. That’s exactly why He came, to redeem and restore you.
Jesus did not come to restore angels; He came to redeem the descendants of Abraham, that’s you and me! We are the seed of Abraham. Therefore, it was necessary for Him to be made in every respect like us so that He could become our merciful and faithful High Priest before God. Only then could He offer the perfect sacrifice that takes away sin and suffering. And because He Himself endured suffering and testing, He is able to help us when we face trials.
So, beloved, do not be discouraged when the world fails to recognize or celebrate you. They did the same to Jesus. When they ridicule or misunderstand you, don’t let it bother you, what truly matters is that you are one with Christ!
The Bible declares in 1 John 3:2 (KJV), “Beloved, now are we the sons of God…” Notice it says now, not later, not when we get to heaven. You are already a son or daughter of God right now.
When you don’t see yourself from that standpoint, you won’t function in the authority and confidence of a son. But when you embrace your identity as a son in the house, you carry yourself differently. Strangers have limits, but sons don’t. You belong to the family of God, and you share in everything that belongs to Christ.
You are one with Him, in His death, in His resurrection, and in His glory!
