TOPIC: Let’s Trust In God’s Mercy (TREM Devotional 13 November 2025)

“…and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying, ‘For He is good; for His mercy endureth forever,’ then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD.” – 2 Chronicles 5:13

MESSAGE

Beloved, the saints of old understood the power and depth of God’s mercy. Every time they wanted to do something great, they always sang one particular song:

“The Lord is good, and His mercy endures forever.”

I have often asked myself, why this song? Because each time they lifted it up, something powerful happened. The glory of God would fill the place. The heavens would open. Miracles would break out. That simple yet profound declaration embodies the very essence of God, He is good, and He is merciful!

When the Ark of the Covenant was brought back to Jerusalem, they sang this same song, and the presence of God filled the atmosphere. Again, in 2 Chronicles 20:21, when King Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah faced a terrifying enemy, they sang the same song “The Lord is good, and His mercy endures forever”, and God gave them a stunning victory.

Beloved, God wants us to trust in His mercy just like the saints of old. His mercy is not temporary; it endures forever. When you put your trust in His mercy, you invite His power into your situation. The psalmist declared, “They looked unto Him and were lightened, and their faces were not ashamed.” (Psalm 34:5)

So today, lift your voice in faith and declare: “The Lord is good, and His mercy endures forever!”

As you do, expect His glory to fill your life, His presence to envelop your heart, and His mercy to rewrite your story.
