TOPIC: Sing For Joy (TREM Devotional 17 October 2025)

“Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.” – Isaiah 54:1 (KJV)

MESSAGE

Beloved, in Christ you are greatly blessed, highly favored, and deeply loved. You might look at your current situation and wonder, “Am I really blessed?” Yes, you are! Your blessing is not determined by what you see, feel, or have at the moment, it is established in what God has already perfected for you in eternity.

You may not look blessed, you may not feel blessed, but you are blessed because God has said so. His Word, not your circumstance, defines your reality.

The scripture above seems puzzling at first. God tells the barren to sing! Naturally, you would ask, “Why should the barren sing?” Singing is usually an expression of joy after a victory or a breakthrough. But here, God commands singing before the miracle happens.

How can you sing when there is no money in your pocket, no job, no spouse, or when your body is in pain? It feels unnatural. Yet, God says, “Sing!” Why? Because He calls those things that are not as though they were. He sees your end from the beginning. He has already completed your miracle before you see it.

So, start singing, not because everything is perfect, but because everything is settled. Your praise is a declaration of faith that your testimony is on the way. When you sing, you align your heart with what God has spoken concerning you.

Child of God, don’t wait for everything to change before you rejoice. Start now. Sing for joy! Dance with your testimony in view. Rejoice in the face of that challenge, for provision has been made ahead of time, and the answer is already released.

Faith calls the unseen into being. So lift your voice in praise and watch your barrenness turn into fruitfulness. Your song today is your victory tomorrow.
