TOPIC: Don’t Be A Docile Christian (TREM Devotional 19 December 2025)
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” — 1 Peter 5:8 (KJV)
MESSAGE
Beloved, do not take your Christian life lightly. The days ahead will be challenging, but as a believer, you have the capacity to rise above every difficulty. God has provided everything necessary for you to remain victorious, yet it is your responsibility to walk in the victory that Christ purchased for you.
Christianity is not a religion; it is a relationship that demands seriousness, discipline, and vigilance.
The Word warns us: “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy” (John 10:10). A docile, indifferent, or lukewarm attitude will yield no fruit. Some attend church yet remain disengaged, distracted by phones or other concerns, missing the transformative power of the Word. True transformation begins when the Word enters your heart, illuminating your understanding and guiding your steps (Psalm 119:130).
It is not enough to merely be present. You must actively receive, meditate on, and apply the Word. Spiritual growth requires deliberate effort—plowing your heart, cultivating the fire, and embracing the prophetic declarations and promises God has given. Only then will your life be empowered to walk in consistent victory over the adversary.
