TOPIC: The Devil Is A Liar (TREM Devotional 30 January 2026)

“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” – John 8:44 (KJV)

MESSAGE

The devil is the embodiment of deception. Lying is his native language, falsehood flows naturally from him. He is the father of lies and the master manipulator. One of the most dangerous things a believer can ever do is to engage the devil in conversation. That is his territory, and if you step into it, he will outwit you, not by power, but by deceit.

The enemy rarely comes out openly to declare his lies. Instead, he distorts the truth slightly, just enough to mislead you. He might say, “There’s nothing wrong with this little compromise.” But a small deviation from the truth will always lead you off course. You cannot follow the devil’s way and still arrive at God’s destination.

Many have fallen, not because Satan is powerful, but because they believed his lies. Deception is his oldest weapon, and it still ruins destinies today. Satan is already a defeated foe. He has no authority over you unless you yield it through ignorance or fear.

When Jesus rose from the dead, He publicly declared: “All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth.” – Matthew 28:18 (KJV)

That means the devil has no power left over you. Christ stripped him of every authority and rendered him powerless. You now stand in the victory Christ secured. Therefore, take your rightful place as a king and priest unto God. You have been anointed to rule and to speak with divine authority.

As a king, you decree and establish God’s will. As a priest, you intercede and declare blessings. Together, these two anointings empower you to silence the voice of the enemy and nullify his attacks.

Beloved, stand firm in your identity. Do not entertain lies from the father of falsehood. Instead, fill your heart with truth, which is God’s Word, and let your words enforce heaven’s reality on earth.
