…resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7

Scriptures say that Satan goes about the earth LIKE A LION, looking for who to devour. He is not a lion. He can never be a lion. I remember when I was very young, I had a cat as a pet. I loved my cat so much. Weird right? I learnt how to meow from my cat. Sometimes, I could just meow like my cat to scare people, especially at night when there was epileptic power supply. Children! Well, I was not a cat, but I was scaring people with the sound of a cat. This is the same thing Satan does. He goes about scaring people, roaring like he is a lion that he is not.

But you’ve got the real Lion in you. And if scriptures say as He – Jesus – is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17), it is safe for me to say we are Lions like Jesus. A lion can only give birth to another lion. We are lions. When Satan comes to roar like a lion in a bid to fill you with fear, beloved, don’t chicken out. ROAR BACK. Resist him with a roar and he will get scared and flee from you. Satan can’t stand your roar. When you roar, he will take to his heels. Glory to God!

The Lord told Joshua to meditate on the Word. ‘Hagah’ is the Hebrew word for meditate and one of its several meanings is “to roar.” So, one of the things God told Joshua in Joshua 1:8 was to roar the Word. When Satan roar his thoughts in your mind to make you chicken out of what God have set forth in your heart to do, roar the Word to Him. He might want to prove stubborn when you roar the first time, and try to roar back at you, but keep on roaring the Word to him. Literally roar God’s Word at satan and he will flee. That’s how to resist him. Don’t allow Satan’s fake roar get you scared. Roar back at him. Let him know who the true Lion is, and that is you. Roar back.

Keep winning daily.

Wise Action:

Be full of God’s word. Let the word fill your heart and sink in there, so that every time Satan shows up roaring, you can roar back God’s word to Him immediately.
